During a conversation about the next steps with my soft sculptures I decided to make a gun that can be dismantled and manipulated as well as fitting together like a child's toy.

This piece started because I was experimenting with making a more complicated gun out of a collection of different fabrics. I have then attached these all together with small pieces of velcro.

The problems I have found with this design is the small pieces. The velcro appears very messy but also fragile and there for is less successful for this piece. I have decided that this piece needs to be bigger and made from something that has more structure.

I also am unsure about the use of velcro because I think it makes it very clear how the piece is meant to be pieced together and I like the idea of the pieces being used to make other shapes as well. (Similarly to how a child's toy might be used.)
