Build Your Own: AK-47 MEGA! - display ideas

I am making this piece to be part of the upcoming Play With Me exhibition at St Marys Works which I am helping to organise and curate. St Marys works is currently functioning as The Shoe Factory Social Club before the reconstruction of the site. As this piece is going to be displayed on the floor I am aware that I will need to put something on the floor to keep the work clean. This is why I have chosen to use a childrens play mat. I think this will be successful as it adds to the idea of childs play. Originally I was concerned that the mat would not be big enough due to the size of the gun when all the pieces are put together. However now I have seen the work displayed on the mat I think that having more would mean that the pieces get a bit lost.
