Interim Exhibition

The curators of Pardon chose to display four of my soft sculpture guns along with my resin and glitter bullets. What I found most interesting was how the curators saw all my work as one collection rather than five individual works. I was particularly keen to see how they chose to display my bullets because these were something that I had not really considered displaying and was unsure about how they worked in an exhibition environment. Having seen the bullets presented in a line on a shelf I have worked more on other methods of displaying these as I feel as though this doesn't add any value or explanation to the works. However, by seeing them as a collection with the guns it becomes clearer that they are bullets and not lipsticks and adds a different effect to the soft sculpture. I also still find that I prefer my soft sculpture works to be interactive.
