In response to the national lock-down to control the spread of corona virus I decided to make my own posters with the 'Stay At Home' message. I have noticed across various forms of media that this situation has been likened to or compared to historical events of war. This gave me the idea to use the WWI army recruitment poster and manipulate it to share the message of STAY AT HOME. To do this I drew the image of the Field Master Lord Kitchener and the 'BRITONS' text but changed the text at the bottom which originally read 'JOIN YOUR COUNTRY'S ARMY'

Once I completed this poster I felt that it might work better if it had been made as a digital image. As this isn't a process I am familiar with and not have the resources for this at home I invited Lucy-Eve Wright to form a collaboration with me. Using my ideas and drawing she created this poster as a digital image. She was also able to play around with different effects.

We decided that we could use this design with images of different people to strengthen the message. The people I want to use are Boris Johnson, NHS staff and maybe other key figures in this situation such as the heath minister.
