My screen prints are inspired by the stories that my Grandad tells me about his time at the art college and working in the print factory. A place that has recently become as significant for me as it was for him.
The first layer for this print comes from a drawing in response to my copper plate prints. In this I have abstracted the image of someone working in the print factory using a simple line drawing.
The second layer is text reading "I could listen to your stories over and over." This is a message from myself to my Grandad about my wish for him to continue to tell me the stories that I have heard so many times before.
My colour choices are based solely on personal preference. I think this is important as the work is so significant to me personally.
