Soft Sculpture Gun no.3

After a discussion in a group tutorial I have decided to work with the concept of 'cute' as a contrast to the topic and artefacts that I am working with.

To do this I have chosen to use pink fluffy fabric for a second soft sculpture.

This sculpture is bigger than a real hand gun which I think is quite effective in distracting the viewer from what it is representing.

Having viewed different people interacting with this piece, it is interesting to note how people tend to pick up the sculpture in the same way as you would hold a gun. To me this suggests that the viewers are disengaged with the darker side of viewing a gun and are more interested in the soft nature of the piece.
